Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC) is a fixed point of referral for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. FNRC provides services to infants and toddlers (from birth to three years old) who are showing a delay in their development or who are at substantially high risk for a developmental disability. FNRC also coordinates community resources such as education, recreation, health, rehabilitation and welfare for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Far Northern Regional Center is responsible for serving residents of the nine counties in Northern California. FNRC also serves individuals from these nine counties who reside in California state developmental centers (formerly called state hospitals). Entry to or discharge from state developmental centers is coordinated through the regional centers.

Challenge:

Prior to the use of the EBSTime Suite, FNRC would track all employee time details on an MS-Excel spreadsheet and then send that information to their Payroll department. The payroll personnel would then have to manually enter all employee time information from MS-Excel spreadsheet into their Abra Payroll system. This process was a slow, cumbersome task and took several days to complete.

During their market search for an automated time and attendance product, FNRC was introduced to the EBSTime Suite by Carol Eberhart, the Sage Abra re-seller for FNRC. She knew that EBSTime was completely automated and fully integrated with the Abra Payroll system, and that it would be an excellent fit for FNRC.

Solution:

We have also been able to transfer mileage expense reimbursement claims directly into Abra Payroll, which previously had also been done manually.
